Poland’s Dawid Kubacki finished runner-up in the Four Hills ski-jumping tournament after placing third in the final stage of the prestigious annual series in Bischofshofen, Austria, on Friday.
The 32-year-old Pole produced jumps of 135.5 and 140 metres to claim his 33rd career World Cup podium spot and maintain his lead on top of this season’s World Cup standings.

Norway's Halvor Egner Granerud won Friday's competition and captured the coveted tournament crown with an overall score of 1,191.2 points after four competitions, 33 more than Kubacki.

Poland’s Piotr Żyła placed 10th in Friday's event and fourth overall in the 71st Four Hills Tournament.
Countryman Kamil Stoch, a three-time overall Four Hills champion, finished sixth in Bischofshofen on Friday and fifth overall in the tournament.
The annual Four Hills Tournament, which is part of the ski-jumping World Cup circuit, features a series of four competitions taking place in Germany and Austria.
Poland's Kubacki won the third leg of this season's tournament in Innsbruck, Austria, on Wednesday.
On New Year’s Day, Kubacki finished second in the second stage of the tournament in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.
The Pole finished third in the opening event of the 2022/2023 Four Hills Tournament in Oberstdorf, Germany, on December 29.
Kubacki claimed the overall Four Hills Tournament title in the 2019/2020 season.
Meanwhile, Poland's Stoch, a three-time Olympic champion, won the 2020/2021 season's Four Hills Tournament and also triumphed in the 2017/2018 and 2016/2017 tournaments.
Earlier Adam Małysz took the title for Poland in 2001.
The 2022/2023 ski-jumping World Cup circuit, run by the International Ski Federation (FIS), features a total of 39 competitions, including 32 individual events, in various countries.
After 12 individual events this season, Kubacki tops the overall World Cup standings, with 930 points, ahead of Lanisek with 822 points and Granerud with 796.
Austrian Thomas Thurnbichler last year took over as the head coach of the Polish men’s ski-jumping team to replace Czech Michal Doležal.
