Cycling: Germany’s Ackermann wins 4th stage of Tour de Pologne

German rider Pascal Ackermann has won stage four of this year's Tour de Pologne, Poland’s largest cycling race.
The 28-year-old, who rides for the UAE Team Emirates cycling team, on Tuesday finished ahead of Belgium's second-placed Jordi Meeus and Italy's third-placed Jonathan Milan in the annual race's 179.4 km fourth leg between the southeastern Polish cities of Lesko and Sanok close to the border with Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Colombia's Sergio Higuita, who won the third stage of the 2022 Tour de Pologne a day earlier, retained the race leader’s yellow jersey.

The fastest Pole, Jakub Kaczmarek, finished 32nd in Sanok on Tuesday.
The fifth leg of the 79th Tour de Pologne will see cyclists cover a 178.1 km route starting in the historic town of Łańcut and ending in the southeastern city of Rzeszów on Wednesday.
The 2022 Tour de Pologne also includes an 11.8 km time trial in the southern Tatra Mountains on Thursday.
More than 140 riders from various countries are taking part in the seven-stage 1,200 km race, which will end in the historic Polish city of Kraków on Friday.
